Local Artist, Dennis Harper to Open Solo Exhibition at Shenstone Library
We’re delighted to announce that local artist and friend of Shenstone Library Dennis Harper is holding a solo exhibition at our art gallery which sits in our brand new Coffee Shop. We’ll be celebrating the opening with a special event at 11am on Saturday 21st October.
The exhibition will run from late October to early November and will feature a collection of stunning landscapes painted by Dennis. We’ll pass over to Dennis to explain more about his first library exhibiton and his special opening event…
“I would like to welcome you at 11am on Saturday 21st October to my solo exhibition in the coffee shop gallery at Shenstone Community Library.
The exhibition will be opened by Daphne Sharp, trustree of Mase (Monthly Alzheimers Support Evening) which in 2013 received the British citizens award for their work in the community.

Bid For One of Dennis Harpers Paintings For Charity
During the exhibition, you will be able to bid on one of Dennis Harper’s original paintings, Cadair Idris. The Painting measures 60″ x 50″ – 1.6m x 1.25m framed. , All proceeds from the sale will go to Mase and St Giles Hospice who both train carers and support people who have dementia.
There is a base price of £500 so your bid must be higher to be successful. If you do not wish to bid you may still donate in the box which will be on the library desk.
