Easter is coming and although we’re still not quite open, (that’s happening very soon!) we’ve got some great activities for the family to enjoy this Easter. Take a look below and feel free to join in, we’d love to see lots of our members and friends take part.
Easter Egg Hunt
We’ve set up a family friendly and fun Easter Egg hunt in our Library. All you have to do is collect a egg hunt sheet from our volunteers (we’re open Tuesday and Friday afternoons and Saturday Mornings) and then look out for the eggs hidden in our garden.
Find the egg and read the clues. There are picture clues for our younger readers and written clues for those who are more than 6.
Check the number of the clue- see the outside of the egg.
Read the clues and put an answer on the answer sheet in the correct place.
Do the best you can- don’t worry if you can’t get all the answers.
When you have found all 10 clues put your name on the sheet and hand it in to the library. We are open on Tuesday, Friday afternoons from 2-4pm or Saturday morning from 10-12.
If you’ve completed your Easter Egg hunt then you’ll receive a chocolate reward. Please note that there’s only one chocolate reward per person, you’ll have to ask the Easter Bunny if you want more chocolate!
Decorate an Egg
Our second activity is egg decoration. You can pick up a template from us and decorate an egg in your own colours, however you wish. Or, if you’re feeling especially creative, perhaps you can do one of your own?
Once you’ve decorated your Egg, simply hand it in to the library with your name and we will display it- and get a chocolate treat! Please remember, just like the egg hunt, there’s only one treat per person.
The very best egg templates decorated, will also get a voucher for the coffee shop to spend on drinks and cakes when we reopen from April 12th. So don’t forget to include your name and contact details.
